About MLC

BV Marco Logistics Consulting — an independent Belgian consultancy in AI, data and Python. You deal directly with the person doing the work.

Marco Geeroms

I am a consultant and developer working at the point where business processes meet software. My professional background is in the Belgian logistics software sector, as a business consultant on transport and warehouse management solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central — functional design, product development, data quality, and leading work on AI tooling.

MLC — BV Marco Logistics Consulting, registered in Dendermonde — is the company through which I take on consulting and development work in artificial intelligence, data and Python. It exists because the two halves of my work reinforce each other: the consulting keeps the development grounded in processes that real people have to follow, and the development keeps the consulting honest about what is actually buildable.

What I am good at

Translating a messy operational reality into a specification, and then into something that runs. Working with data that is incomplete and systems that were not designed to talk to each other. Explaining a technical trade-off to someone who does not want a technical answer.

What I am not

Not an agency. MLC is deliberately small, so for large programmes that need several consultants working in parallel it is the wrong supplier — and I will tell you so early rather than late. I also do not sell AI as an end in itself: a good part of my advice on any given process is that a script, a fixed integration or a change in how the work is organised will serve better than a model.

How I like to work

Straight answers

If an idea will not work, or will cost more than it returns, that is the first thing I say. A consultant who agrees with everything is an expensive way to hear your own opinion.

Working software over documents

Documentation matters, but a demonstrable result changes a discussion in a way a report never does. I aim to have something running early.

No lock-in

Code, credentials and documentation are yours. I build so that someone else could take over, and I would rather be re-hired than depended upon.

Small and concrete

One clearly defined problem, solved properly, beats a transformation programme that never leaves the planning phase.
